Dankzij mooie weer in het voorjaar kunnen we nu genieten van de massale opbrengst van onze bescheiden boomgaard. Er is gewoon van alles in overvloed... Een mand appels staat klaar aan de achterdeur, binnen handbereik. Appelmoes, appelcrumble en tarte tatin staan nu vaak op het menu. Uit de overvloed aan (reusachtige) kweeperen heb ik vandaag een selectie gemaakt en er confituur van gemaakt. We genieten volop van deze mooie en zachte herfst!
Thanks to the good weather in springtime we can now enjoy a massive return of our modest orchard. A basket filled with apples is within reach at the back door, so these days apple pies, apple crumble and tarte tatin fill our daily menu. From the abundance of (really huge) quinces I made a selection today and made jam of them. We're fully enjoying this beautiful coloured and mild autumn!
